You can register any name that is still available and have your site hosted with up to 5MB of data for a total cost of only $15 per year, all with one provider. --- There are no setup fees or other hidden costs!

All you need to get started is Internet access, either through Dial-up ISP, DSL, or Cable Modem.

Now, many of you are thinking, "Sure! What do I know about creating and maintaining a web site, and what is it good for anyway?" My dad said the same thing, but you should see his web site now!

For a modest fee of $100 we will work together from your computer to register your domain, install one of the best FTP programs available (used for uploading files to your web-site), create a simple multi-page web site (with FRAMES, if desired), and complete some training that will allow you to update your site as often as you wish.

Your web site will include email forwarding.... Email written to anything@yourname.com will be forwarded to your current email address that you specify in the domain name registration process. This means one person could write to you at heyneighbor@yourname.com, and another person could write to you at crustyolseadog@yourname.com.

The domain name you register is yours... You own it, and you are the primary contact, so long as you continue to pay your $15 yearly registration fee. You can even pay for up to 10 years at a time and forget about it for a while!

Here's where I come in.
For a simple site and 3 hours training time I charge $100.
You get the following:

1. We complete your domain name registration together
   and set up your account and email forwarding.
   I walk you through the process, but you complete it yourself
   with a service that I am in no way associated with.
   This means I am in no way in charge of it and have
   no control over your site.

2. We design and create your site together. We can scan photos,
   take digital pictures, add text, create background images,
   add text and links to other pages, and so on.

   I'll show you a few of the basics of writing your own HTML code
   ("Hyper-Text Markup Language", the text that web pages are made of),
   and then give you additional resources and methods for continuing
   the learning process on your own for free.

3. I'll show you how to set up a local copy of your web site on your
   home computer and test the entire site before you take the time
   to upload the content to your new domain.
   The novice computer user will learn about creating directories, editing
   text files and photographs, and organizing files on the hard drive.

4. We will load all the software you need onto your hard drive to
   maintain your web site, upload and download files, shortcuts to
   your text editor, a really great program for viewing and modifying
   photos and graphics, and an array of other software, if desired,
   to create animations and other fun stuff. You will also receive
   a copy of all the software on a CD to keep as a backup.

5. We will upload the contents of your new web site to your domain
   and fully test it on the Internet. At this point you will be ready to
   A. Start telling all your friends about your new site,
   B. Promote your site in search engines, and
   C. Give your new email address(es) out to friends and colleagues.

MY GUARANTEE
We will not stop until you have a simple site up and running on the World Wide Web for your fist-time fee of $100. We will complete the task within one week (it takes a day for the service provider to activate your new domain) unless your situation delays our follow-up meeting(s). I will provide additional training and support for $25 an hour, up to 5 hours. I reserve the right to increase this fee for training and support beyond the additional 5 hours, however I do not foresee doing so at this time. I will provide support via email free for one month as time permits and when problems are not so complex to require more than a few minutes to explain. This will include simple debug of code and directions on how to find more info for free on the web.
